Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Sebastian County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent by email may be kept long enough to review and answer them. They remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive standard technical details about that visit:
- Your device's assigned IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- A referring website, when one exists
- The time of each page request
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files help show how visitors move through the site, including which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that activity into broader usage reports. You may block cookies through your browser settings, although doing so can change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the site and maintaining reasonable load times
- Routing a search query to the appropriate outside provider
- Understanding which pages visitors use most often
- Finding and correcting performance or technical problems
- Presenting advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Sebastian County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to records held by Sebastian County courts and the sheriff, the Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not compiled into a consumer report or a file about another person, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through them is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Sebastian County offices, Arkansas court systems, state agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. After you follow one, the destination website controls the visit under its own privacy terms. Review those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks serving ads on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used security measures protect collected data. No Internet service can promise absolute security, however, and this website cannot guarantee that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, it may be submitted for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Your location may provide additional rights under applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. Arkansas public criminal-record access is also shaped by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-105, and criminal-history dissemination is governed by Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1009. Those public-record laws do not convert this private website into a government custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request a copy of personal data held about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date, so review this page periodically for updates.
